I am not posting this to make any one sad. I am just hoping that because of the loss that our friend and her two children experienced 10 years ago, that we will all take time TODAY to realize what we have.
Here is a short article of the my husband's best friend that was killed in the line of duty 10 years ago.

I Knew You Could
I am sure we have all read the book "I Think I Can!". Or at least we have heard about it.
The newest version just came out " I Knew You Could" by Scholastic books. My daughter was given it by her preschool teacher. The message is clear and to the point.
The last paragraph reads as:
There's more about life that you'll learn as you go,
Because figuring out on your own helps you grow.
Just trust in yourself, and you'll climb every hill.
Say, "I think I Can!" and you know what?
You will!
What a perfect lesson to not only teach our children, but for us to install in our adult lives as well.

Preschool Graduation
I can not believe my little baby(not so much anymore) is "graduating" from preschool in a couple days. She is so excited for Kindergarten next year and riding the bus with her big brother.
As Dr. Seuss would say: "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose." I am excited for her to become even more independent, meet new friends, and learn all she can. She is an amazing little person with such a bright future.
Look out Kindergarten here she comes.
