I Knew You Could

I am sure we have all read the book "I Think I Can!".  Or at least we have heard about it.

The newest version just came out " I Knew You Could" by Scholastic books.  My daughter was given it by her preschool teacher. The message is clear and to the point.
The last paragraph reads as:
There's more about life that you'll learn as you go,
Because figuring out on your own helps you grow.
Just trust in yourself, and you'll climb every hill.
Say, "I think I Can!" and you know what?
You will!

What a perfect lesson to not only teach our children, but for us to install in our adult lives as well.

Preschool Graduation

I can not believe my little baby(not so much anymore) is "graduating" from preschool in a couple days. She is so excited for Kindergarten next year and riding the bus with her big brother.

As Dr. Seuss would say:  "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose."  I am excited for her to become even more independent, meet new friends, and learn all she can. She is an amazing little person with such a bright future.

Look out Kindergarten here she comes.

Good Luck Jason!

My wonderful husband has been training for over 6 months for his first half Ironman Triathlon.
A half Ironman Triathlon consists of:
1. 1.2 mile swim in the open ocean
2. 56 miles on a bike
3. 13.1 mile run
It will take him over 6 1/2 hours to complete - IMPRESSIVE!
Because he set a goal, created a plan and on a consistent basis pushed himself, he is ready.
Good luck!
This picture is Sydney and Tyler congratulating dad. He came in 2nd place in his most recent race - 5k.
We can not wait to congratulate him on checking off another item from his "Bucket List."
